Tambi&eacute;n est&aacute;n las playas Avenida del Mar, con 6 kil&oacute;metros de extensi&oacute;n. En la uni&oacute;n con la playa Pe&ntilde;uelas se encuentra el Faro Monumental, edificio s&iacute;mbolo de la zona.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Cuenta con sectores hist&oacute;ricos como la Plaza de Armas, La Recova donde se puede disfrutar de la gastronom&iacute;a y artesan&iacute;a de la zona y la Iglesia de San Francisco. Adem&aacute;s existen museos como el Arqueol&oacute;gico y Mineral&oacute;gico donde se pueden encontrar exposiciones de antiguos objetos diaguitas e interesantes piedras que componen la geolog&iacute;a de la zona.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Imperdible es visitar el Valle del Elqui, ubicado hacia el interior de La Serena. Esta zona, principalmente productora del mejor pisco y asentamiento de observatorios, ofrece tranquilidad y misterio, al ser considerado un centro energ&eacute;tico. Se pueden visitar pueblos como Vicu&ntilde;a y Monte Grande, entre otros.&nbsp;</p>
